Urban Commons Lab
Urban Commons Lab engages in research, service-learning, and community design projects that advance the understanding and making of urban commons. Locally, our primary focus has been on working with immigrant communities in King County. Through research and teaching collaboration, we are also part of a network of community design scholars and practitioners in the Pacific Rim who are engaged in community-engaged design, democratization of planning and design, and design activism. We participate in projects that have been funded by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, National Endowment for the Arts, Landscape Architecture Foundation, and Worldwide Universities Network.
