Urban Commons Lab

Community Design

Urban Commons Lab collaborates with and provides support to community organizations and city agencies in community-based projects. Since 2002, we have worked with organizations in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District (CID) on projects including streetscape improvement and renovation and expansion of existing parks. Many of these projects have been implemented by the community. Our long-term collaboration with CID was recognized with a Community Stewardship Award from the Washington Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects (WASLA) in 2018.
